Deep red in color, this wine displays generous, regional Langhorne Creek Shiraz characteristics. The sweet red fruits, black pepper and cinnamon/spice aromas lead to juicy dark berry and blackcurrant flavors of considerable length. There are integrated savoury, sweet fruit and earthy touches along with fine, velvet tannins that provide complexity and texture. This is a wine to be enjoyed over the next eight to ten years. Rutherglen Wine Show Rutherglen - 2007 I like this same winery’s cherry and charcoal-laced Sixth Generation Reserve Shiraz, only bottled in difficult years and composed of declassified, high-end fruit. Blackberries, tangerines, bay leaf and black olive tapenade all come out to play, and the finish is lush and long, a direct consequence of the presence of old-vine grapes.
